JAMMU, June 7: Bishnah Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station led by SHO Inspector Rattan Singh conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since long.
The arrested person has been identified as Ashwani Kumar, son of Pritam Chand of Chak Gourian tehsil Arnia, district Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 18/16 under section 279 and 338 RPC with Police Station Bishnah. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC was issued against him by JMIC Bishnah.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
