JAMMU, June 20: Bagh-e-Bahu police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar alias Raju, son of Sham Lal, a resident of New Plot.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 30/2008 under Sections 454 and 380 RPC at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Satish Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Vipan Chandra, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
