SAMBA, June 4: A delegation of Akhil Bharatiya Gaushala Research Foundation (ABGRF), Jammu and Kashmir, today met with the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Samba and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Samba under the direction of Advocate P.S Chandel, In-charge ABGRF, J&K UT.
The delegation was led by State president, Dr. Vikas Bhardwaj and State general secretary, Sunil Magotra, along with DDC Ghagwal Suresh Kumar, former Sarpanch Sudarshan Khajuria, ABGRF State vice president, Ravi Abrol, district president, Kathua Ravindra Singh, and State youth president, Vikram Mahajan, accompanied by a large number of youth supporters.
The delegation presented a memorandum to DC Samba and SSP Samba, demanding stringent action against cattle smuggling and the cessation of related permissions. This marks the second major success for the ABGRF, which previously succeeded in halting permissions in Kathua.
Dr. Vikas Bhardwaj raised serious concern over the recent surge in cow smuggling activities. He emphasized the necessity for decisive action against this illegal trade. “For us Hindus, Gaumata (Mother Cow) holds immense significance. Our Foundation is dedicated to fighting for protection of cows. Following the meeting with DC Samba, a detailed discussion was held with SSP Samba, Vinay Sharma, who assured that no offender would be spared,” he added.
The ABGRF expressed gratitude to both DC Samba and SSP Samba for their commitment to stopping the permissions and taking strict actions against cattle smuggling.
