JAMMU, Sept 2: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has flayed former J&K CM Omar Abdullah for demanding statehood for J&K.
In a meeting AIBCU president, Abdul Majid Malik said demanding statehood and restoration of pre-August 5, 2019 position only reflects that looting rights of poor still prevails in minds of NC leaders.
He said that NC ruled J&K since 1975 with Sheikh Abdullah as Chief Minister and thereafter his son and grandson remained CMs and they messed with constitutional rights of J&K people under the pretext of Article 370.
The AIBCU leader said that till date neither Dr Farooq Abdullah nor Omar have ever talked about constitutional rights of OBCs though majority of OBCs are Muslims of J&K whose population is about 70 per cent.
He also said that after the abrogation of Article 370, Modi govt deliberately blocked the natural flow of justice for OBCs.
M.R Bangotra and Prof. Kali Dass also spoke in the meeting.
