Abdul Haq inaugurates Khuhama-Batnar steel bridge

KUPWARA: Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice, Abdul Haq today conducted an extensive tour of various area of Lolab Constituency to take stock of various developmental works.

          The Minister also inaugurated Rs 1.7 crore 1x25mtres span single lane steel decked Khurhama- Batanar bridge. He also laid the foundation stone of different link roads at Chek Warno Lolab under CRF at an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore which will improve road connectivity to 20 villages.

          Haq also attended a school function organized by Government High School, Sharnt Check where in the school authorities projected their demands for improvement of the road leading to school and other basic facilities.

          The Minister was accompanied by District Development Commissioner, SSP and officers of different executing agencies.

          During his extensive tour, the Minister also met several public deputations who apprised him of their issues regarding basic amenities like drinking water, road connectivity, development of parks, playgrounds and also sought improvement in power supply.

          The Minister also visited Malik Mohallah Shah Ababd for inspection of a footbridge there. He directed the concerned to ensure its timely completion so that people of the area and general masses are benefitted.

          On the occasion, the Minister said that the present Government is keen to resolve the problems of the people by fulfilling all the commitments made by the Chief Minister during his recent Kupwara visit.            He asked the district administration to be proactive in resolving issues of people.
