Abducted Handwara girl recovered from Delhi

Srinagar, Feb 16: In yet another incident, police have recovered an abducted girl hailing from North Kashmir’s Handwara area of Kupwara district from National Capital.
A police spokesman said on February 10, it was reported to police in Handwara that a girl (name withheld) was kidnapped by Shoaib Ahmad Sheikh with the assistance of Azad Ahmad.
“On receipt of the complaint a case FIR number 08/016 under section 366,109 RPC was registered in police station Kralgund. An investigation team was formed and investigation taken up,” he said.
The spokesman said during the investigation it surfaced that the kidnapper has taken the girl outside the State. “The investigation team succeeded in tracing the kidnapper in Delhi. The kidnapper was held and the girl was also recovered,” he said.
During further investigation it has been revealed that mastermind behind the commission of offence was uncle of the kidnapper namely Hilal Ahmad Sheikh, the spokesman said and added that the further investigation in this regard is going on.
