Srinagar, May 11: Police today said it has recovered an abducted girl and arrested the kidnapper within hours of abduction in Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
A police spokesman said the brother of 15 year-old girl (name withheld) hailing from of Shankerpora area of Dooru area in the district informed police that his sister has been kidnapped by Subzar Ahmad Wagay.
“On this information, police swung into action, recovered the kidnapped girl and arrested the kidnapper within hours. A case under FIR number 51/2016 under Section 363 was registered against the accused and further investigation has been taken up,” he added.
