Srinagar, Dec 18: Police today said it have recovered a kidnapped girl from Banihal Railway Station within 24 hours of her abduction.
A police spokesman said that police received a complaint from one person (name withheld) who hails from Budgam district wherein he stated that his daughter was kidnapped by one Gazanfer Ali Rather on December 16.
Accordingly, the spokesman said, a case under Section 363 RPC was registered and investigation was started. During the course of investigation, police got important clues that led to tracing of accused person along with the kidnapped girl at Banihal Railway Station within 24 hours.
“The girl was recovered and the accused involved was arrested. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents,” he added.
