JAMMU, Nov 15: Panic gripped after an abandoned bag was found lying under mysterious circumstance at Nagrota on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, an abandoned bag was found on the parapet along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Kol Kandoli Temple at Nagrota.
After getting information, police and Army personnel rushed to the spot and took possession of the bag.
During checking, daily use items including clothes, tooth-brush and lunch box were recovered from the bag.
However, the vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway also remained suspended for sometime, which was later restored.
When contacted Defence PRO, Colonel Munish Mehta said that no suspicious material was found from the abandoned bag. He added that bag contains some daily use items.
He stated that the vehicular movement was stopped on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for precautionary measures, but later the movement was restored.
