JAMMU, Oct 31: Bringing of J&K Public University Bill-2022 in a draconian manner without consulting any of the stakeholders and move for turning the autonomous higher seats of education into mere Government offices is unacceptable and therefore AAP will fight tooth and nail to ensure repeal of this bill.
This was stated by Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) J&K for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs and DDC Member Suchetgarh in a statement issued here on Monday.
Tony, condemned the J&K Government for bringing out such dictatorial and controversial bill which will take away the autonomy of the universities and other educational institutions. He also pointed out that the aforesaid bill has a provision to terminate any of the employees without any enquiry which is arbitrary, unconstitutional and against the principle of natural justice. He said that without proper enquiry how can the accused be terminated?
The senior AAP leader urged the people at large to get united and fight for the autonomy of the universities and other educational institutions as the Government is taking unjustified steps.
