JAMMU, June 11: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) activists organized a peaceful protest against the prevailing hazardous health conditions in the State today in front of Jammu Press club in which several activists expressed their deep dismay and anguish on the perilous situation of common people at the hands of some organized nexuses, under the patronage of some influential persons.
Prominent speakers, while citing examples said that as per media exposures of recent past, 18 drugs were found sub-standard during March 2014, cases registered against company for supplying spurious drugs; similarly licenses of 14 drug companies were suspended but astonishing to say that nothing concrete action has come to fore to the knowledge of common man.
The protestors said again, , 27 patients suffered glucose reaction in a day in GMC emergency in January 2015 under the nose of top State health bureaucracy as also the government in Winter Capital. If this is situation in Medical College Hospital what can be the position in district or block level hospitals of remote areas which are beyond doubt, on the mercy of God.
