SRINAGAR Mar 30: In connection with upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party  activists organized a public rally at Mehjoor Nagar in Amira Kadal Assembly segment, today.
The rally was attended by hundreds of AAP volunteers including its leader Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat, who is also the party candidate from Srinagar Parliament seat. While speaking at the public gathering at Mehjoor Nagar, Dr Raja  Muzaffar Bhat said that National Conference sold out power projects to National Hydro Electric Power Corporation (NHPC) which has rendered  Jammu & Kashmir State as a salve State. He said that J&K State gets  mere 12 % share from NHPC as royalty and this is totally injustice with the people of State.
“If I am send to Lok Sabha by the people of Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal, I will take up the NHPC issue with full force at various  forums , as the Aam Aadmi Party leadership including Arvind Kejriwal  has already given his full support to me on this issue. I will ensure
J&K State gets 70 to 80 % as royalty from NHPC so that our State not  only becomes self sufficient with regard to power but our state can even export power to other neighboring states “said Dr Muzaffar.
On the occasion a noted social and political activist Malik Asif Noor  joined Aam Aadmi Party along with his scores of volunteers. Later on  the AAP volunteers went door to door to seek votes from people in  Mehjoor Nagar, Jawahar Nagar and Rajbagh areas.
