AAP expresses concern over illicit sale of drugs

UDHAMPUR, Nov 4: In a meeting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has expressed concern over the alleged non-seriousness of Udhampur administration regarding the menace of drugs.
AAP J&K provincial body & Udhampur body has said that steps taken so far by the Udhampur administration are insufficient to tackle the menace of drug addiction.
AAP leader, Surinder Singh Shingari flayed Udhampur administration and said that AAP will raise this issue with police administration and will work with them to save the future of J&K from drugs.
He quoted a recent study to claim that J&K has 600,000 people involved in drug-related issues.
A handout stated that people told AAP leaders that Udhampur administration is not doing enough to stop the illicit sale and purchase of drugs, which is destroying our present generation.
AAP urged the Udhampur administration to form district, village and booth level committees to control and tackle the illicit sale and purchase of drugs.
The meeting was organised by Col. Somnath, AAP district, president Udhampur.
Those who were present in the meeting were Ravi Shastri, vice president Jammu province; Amit Kapoor, vice president Jammu province; Rajesh Padgotra, vice president Jammu province and others.
