JAMMU, May 16: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) expressed anguish over the unabated innocent killing of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir and took out a candle march to register its protest over the killing a Kashmiri youth Rahul Bhat, here today.
The candle march took out under the leadership of Jammu province convener, Om Parkash Khajuria which started from the Party office and culminated at AISA Chowk.
AAP leaders strongly condemned the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit, Rahul Bhat by the militants at Tehsil office, Chadoora on Thursday afternoon.
While expressing sympathy with the family members, Om Khajuria said that the militant attack which was carried out in Chadoora is aimed at disturbing the communal harmony by targeting the minority community of the valley.
Party spokesperson, Jagdeep Singh alleged that Modi Government as well as the LG administration has completely failed to provide the security to the employees who were deputed at Kashmir under PM package and also alleged that the Government has failed to discharge its Constitutional obligation to guard the life and property of the Pandits in Kashmir.
“On one side, the Government claimed that the situation is improving in Kashmir and on the other side, the innocent people are being killed in broad daylight and the present dispensation became a mute spectator,” they alleged.
TS Tony (DDC Member), Raj Kumar Nischel, Surinder Singh Shingarai, Subash Sharma, Happy Singh, Avinash Choudhary, Navneet Mishra, Jyesh Gupta, Shanker Singh Chib, Rakesh Gupta and others were part of the protest.
