Aadhar based biometric for CSLWs approved

SRINAGAR, Sept 6: The Committee constituted by the Government  has approved  Aadhar based biometric  and skill profiling of the Casual, Seasonal and other Workers (CSLWs).
Official sources said that the Committee constituted  vide Govt order No. 126-F of 2016 dated April 28, 2016, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary has approved the format for seeking information,  for carrying  Aadhar based identification  and skill profiling of various categories of the workers.
They included – daily rated workers, work charged employees, casual labourers, seasonal labourers, part-time workers, CIC operators of RDD, prism-men/ settlement assistants of Revenue Department,   NYCs, Hamals/ drivers of CAPD Deptt, persons engaged on Hospital Development Fund, part time sweepers in different departments, particularly in Health and Medical Education and School Education departments.
The Government has asked the Director Codes ( Finance Dept)  to request the Administrative Secretaries of all the departments to furnish the relevant information as per the new format in the shape of  hard as well as soft copy, within a period of 30 days, beyond which  no information about such workers in their departments shall be entertained. The concerned DDOs shall also upload the required data on an application hosted by the NIC on URL-http://10.148.2.27/abbisp. The user IDs & passwords can be obtained by the DDOs from the NIC District unit (DC office) / Treasury offices, the official sources said.
