JAMMU, July 18: A two days training programme on Aadhaar operator certification of Angangwari workers began here today at Middle Level Training Institute (MLTC), Channi Himmat.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is going to train about 400 Anganwari Workers (AWWs) across J&K as Master Trainers for Aadhaar enrolment of children below 5 yrs.
The trained 400 AWWs will subsequently train 1100 more AWWs to take the total number of certified Aadhaar operators in the State to 1500. The certified Aadhaar operators will take up the task of enrolment of children below 5 years in Anganwari centres of the State during the next few months.
In the first phase, UIDAI will train AWWs of five districts of Jammu Division viz. Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Reasi. As part of the first phase, 62 Anganwari workers of District Jammu and Kathua (3 AWWs from each project) participated in today’s training programme.
On the second day of the programme, the workers will also undertake online examination for being nominated as the certified Aadhaar enrolment operators.
The team of officers from UIDAI, Minister of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India, Regional Office Chandigarh and District Programme Officer ICDS Jammu, Jyoti Salathia and CDPOs of District Jammu were part of the training programme.
A detailed power point presentation on Aadhaar enrolment training modules was presented by Deputy Director, UIDAI, Regional Office Chandigarh, Prem Kr.Thakur.
Meanwhile, trainees were also given hands on training on tablet by Resource Persons from UIDAI.
Principal MLTC Sadhna Jamwal conducted the proceedings of training progamme.
