JKIFTS launches Advisory Council of Columnists

JAMMU, June 18: For the first time in J&K, Jammu and Kashmir Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society (JKIFTS) headed by Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo today launched an Advisory Council of columnists and writers by giving open field to prolific writers of J&K to provide them wider reach out.
A handout stated that JKIFTS believes that Council of Young Columnists and Writers should continue to work with highest sort of passion, enthusiasm, zeal and zest and it will encourage young prolific writers to increase their writing caliber.
The main purpose of Advisory Council will be to encourage young talented writers and help them in building write ups under supervision of the head of the Council and associated executives and members.
Apart from this, members of the Council can help each other and also encourage others who want to contribute. “In this way, JKIFTS under such innovative initiative can build a huge mass of writers, columnists and intellectuals who have a very crucial role to play in revolutionizing the society in various domains by articulating their views and opinions,” the handout further stated.
Moreover, the Council of Columnists will try to work in the horizon of achieving Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which is a global blueprint framework to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
While launching of the Council, Director JKIFTS, Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo announced the Core Committee of the Columnists Council headed by Mushtaque B Barq (noted writer and columnist) with Sheikh Shabir, Reyaz Ahmad Mir, Mushtaq Hurra, Shah Khalid, Syed Mujtaba, Gazi Suhail Khan-as executives and the chief advisory members included Ravia Gupta, B.L Saraf, Chetan Prabhakar, Sunny Dua, Dr Raja Muzzafar Bhat, Dr Mohammed Amin Malik and others.
