JAMMU, June 16: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) J&K UT unit has criticised the BJP to hold Defence Minister’s rally and encash lockdown for the political gains.
Talking to media-persons at BSP head office, Satwari here today, party president of the J&K unit, SR Majotra criticised the BJP leadership for their act of holding virtual rally in J&K to encash the lockdown for their political gains. He said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other leaders addressed digital rally to mislead the poor masses.
He said when countrymen are afraid of Corona virus, instead of encouraging the people, the BJP leadership is busy in implementing its election (Political) agendas misleading the J&K people by false and fabricated lies about the achievements of their party, including payment of Rs 500 to all women, Rs 1000 to labourers, Rs 2000 to farmers, MNREGA Scheme, employment to educated youth, payment of widow / old age pension) but practically Govt at Centre and UT totally failed as the benefits of all the Schemes has gone to the BJP followers and not the common man.
Majotra alleged that BJP has snatched the statehood and debarred the J&K people of many constitutional rights viz non- implemention of Central Reservation Rules, increase in BJP backed atrocities on poor Dalits like Pushal Kishtwar, Majalta Udhampur, Garnedi Kathua episodes, terrorise the SC/ST and minorities, burdening the people of Jammu and Kashmir by establishing Toll Plazas at Lakhanpur, BanToll plaza at Nagrota, Toll Plaza near Sarore and proposed toll plaza at Akhnoor, hiking the prices of petrol and diesel on daily basis, allotting all contracts to their kith and kin, diverting MNREGA Funds etc.
He said in 2014 the people gave BJP the opportunity to win at 26 constituences in J&K but they failed to fulfill the aspirations and promises to unemployed youths. We request the public to help BSP to win at least 16 seats, and we will try to redress the public grievances without any financial package from the Centre. Majotra warned the poor public of Jammu to beware of false propaganda of BJP.
