JAMMU, June 15: Accusing the BJP of disregarding aspirations of J&K people and ignoring burning issues of masses in its virtual rally, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman-JKNPP said the ruling party disappointment common masses and demoralized die-hard supporters of saffron regime.
Addressing a press conference here today Harsh Dev also said that it was expected that top leadership of the country addressing virtual rally would address the grievances of J&K people and announce measures to mitigate their sufferings but nothing of the sort happened.
He also claimed that BJP leadership indulged in incessant chest thumping and made lofty claims over its development agenda which remained elusive on ground.
“With a complete mismatch between its rhetoric and ground delivery, the statements of its leaders merely evoked cynicism rather than any kind of appreciation,” he maintained.
Singh also said that SRO-202 issue which has generated a lot of heat in the new UT failed to find a mention in the statements of top BJP leaders despite assurances of its revocation in the past by local BJP leaders.
“The announcement with regard to restoration of 4G connectivity was another expectation of the people which too ended in a fiasco,” he further said.
