JAMMU, June 15: Five persons of a family were among six persons who were injured late last night in a road accident in Jourian area of Akhnoor.
According to police sources, late last night, two Scorpio cars bearing registration number JK02AX-7331 and JK02AS-5267 were on their way to Akhnoor from Jourian when on reaching Muthi, one of them while overtaking, hit the other one. They said though the collision was minor but both the drivers lost control over the vehicle after collision and one of the vehicles rammed into a wall along the road.
“In the mishap, six persons were injured. While five of them were from a single family and were travelling in one of the vehicles, the sixth injured were driver of other Scorpio car,” they said, adding, the injured were identified as Harjeet Singh, his brother Gulzar Singh, their wives and one kid (all resident of Shakti Nagar, Jammu) and Pawan Kumar of Khour.
All the injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Jourian and later referred to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor. Khour police had registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
