Dutta for opening of private clinics

JAMMU, June 12: National Conference provincial vice president and senior leader, Laxmi Dutta has expressed her concern over non opening of private clinics of doctors with the result the people are facing many problems.
In a statement issued here, today, Dutta said that during the lockdown period of two months the people suffering from chronic diseases and life style disorders could not get proper medical treatment due to the restrictions imposed for moving outside their houses. She said the COVID-19 threat created panic among the people and those suffering with problems like diabetes, hypertension, heart ailments, kidney and lever problems, gastritis, arthritis etc were put to many hardships in getting the medical proper treatment.
She said this led to depression among such patients and after the unlock these people were expecting to consult the doctors in their private clinics under whose treatment they were. But unfortunately the private clinics are not still operating with the result these people have been put to hardships.
She said the problem has become more serious for women folk especially those who are pregnant as they can’t seek the proper consultation from the doctors due to closure of private clinics. She said these women are unable to visit Government hospitals due to heavy rush of patients there also. Dutta made an appeal to Government to look into this issue on priority basis.
