POONCH, June 4: Youth National Conference (YNC) on Thursday expressed concern over the hike in price of petroleum products in J&K and claimed that it was posing extra burden on common masses.
In a handout Ajaz Jan, NYC leader said that people from across the country as well as J&K are burdened by the lockdown and closure of trade.
“Instead of providing aid to the affected families, the government is further burdening them by extra duties on petroleum products gas, petrol and diesel,” he said demanding immediate removal of extra-duties being charged.
He also claimed, with a cylinder of cooking gas priced high in J&K this month, many low income families are finding it difficult to pay for the refills.
“Poor people have to walk for hours on foot and elders and patients are worst affected,” Jan said demanding a proper policy for restoration of passenger vehicles on roads.
