JAMMU, June 4: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) today urged the Lieutenant Governor to cancel Darbar move due to spread of COVID -19 cases which is scheduled to open in Srinagar on June 15.
In a press statement issued here, Chander Mohan Sharma senior member of the Sabha said that in view of uncertainty that prevail due to earlier announcement of formal opening of Darbar at Srinagar on June 15 need to be removed by LG Administration immediately by announcing cancellation of the Darbar move this year.
Senior member of the Sabha Advocate PC Sharma said that the Union and States Governments and even corporate world have been organising virtual meetings. There is need to hold such meeting in J&K also, Sharma suggested.
“Lockdown-5.0 is being extended up-to June 30 in containment zones and due to increase of number of corona victims in Kashmir region, the employees are hesitating to move there”, he said, adding that ‘care is better than cure’ absence of no medicine is available to combat the deadly virus.
