Stranded people to be brought back in groups: Dr Jitendra

JAMMU, Apr 21: Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh said that all the people of J&K including labourers stranded in other states of country will be brought back to their home towns and villages in small groups.
Talking to Excelsior today the Union Minister said the process has been already started in this regard and all the people of J&K stranded outside will be brought back in small groups by the Government after observing all the guidelines.
Dr Jitendra Singh, however, made it clear that Government is more concerned for the safety and security of the people in view of the spread of Global COVID-19 and it is taking all precautions to restrict the virus from spreading. He sought cooperation of the people at this crucial juncture so that country will achieve success in its war started by Narendra Modi Government against the dreaded virus.
When his attention was drawn towards the stranded labourers of Bani in different parts of the country who go for seasonal labour there, Dr Jitendra Singh said he is seized with the issue and all efforts are afoot to bring them back to their respective home towns and villages keeping in view the guidelines.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that if a single person seems positive entire Bani area will be put under quarantine. He said Kathua was corona free till date but we received a set back as one case has been reported today who has come from Maharashtra.
Hence we have to take all precautions.
