SRINAGAR, April 19: J&K RTI Movement in a statement today flayed the Government for not making N-95 masks, Surgical Gloves and other medical gears available for the public in J&K particularly in Kashmir.
In a handout, Spokesperson JK RTI Movement, Farooq Kuthoo claimed that N-95 masks and Surgical Gloves are not even available to healthcare professionals and others on essential service duty these days.
Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat, Chairman RTI Movement said N-95 and medical masks should be made available to the general public and healthcare workers who are regularly exposed to the infected patients.
He further said, if the claim of Chemists and Druggists Association of Kashmir regarding available stocks is true then they must tell people where to buy such masks etc from.
Bhat also claimed that a simple N-95 mask costing Rs 90 is being sold for Rs 200- 300 and same is the case with surgical gloves.
