Leh, Mar 14: A cheque distribution camp was organized by Labour Department Leh today at Mini Conference Hall of DC Office, here.
The function was presided over by the DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya. Assistant Labour Commissioner Leh, Ghulam Nabi Tak, concerned officials and large number of beneficiaries were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner distributed cheques amounting of Rs 27,75, 284 to the beneficiaries under different schemes of Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board (B&OCWWB).
Addressing the gathering, ALC Leh introduced the detail of financial assistant disbursement for different schemes which included ‘Higher Education Assistance’ for diploma and degree holder, ‘Lower Education Assistance’ and’ Chronic Disease Assistance’.
He also added that, the amount of Rs 76,45,748 has been disbursed for the year 2019-20 under different schemes of B&OCWWB and called upon the people to come forward to avail the schemes.
