Notorious criminal arrested after 7 years

JAMMU, Mar 6: A notorious criminal, who was evading his arrest for last seven years, was arrested today by Bishnah police.
“The absconder namely Zakir Hussain son of Liaquet Ali, resident of Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana (at present living in village Kotli Charkan, Bishnah) was apprehended on a specific input by a police team headed by SHO police station Bishnah, Inspector Deepak Pathania under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu, Adil Hamid Ganai,” a police official said.
He said the accused was wanted in two separate case vide FIR Number 62/06 U/S 341/323/147/148 RPC and FIR Number 172/11 U/S 341/323/ 325/ 148/149 RPC of police station Bishnah, besides a case FIR Number 122/11 U/S 341/323/147/ 148 RPC of police station Miran Sahib and FIR Number 27/16 U/S 307/336/ 323/ 147/ 148/149 RPC of police station Bari-Brahmana.
Zakir Hussain was absconding since 2013, a police official said, adding, he is the same person who was instrumental in stone pelting on police party of police station Bari Brahmana when in the year 2016, Himachal police had come to arrest one accused at Sarore area. A Gujjar boy had died in the fire then, he added.
