ADGP Armed honours JKP Brass Band for 2nd position in All India Band Competition

JAMMU, Mar 4: ADGP Armed J&K AK Choudhary honoured J&K Police Brass Band for securing 2nd position in 20th All India Police Band Competition organized recently by Railway Protection Force at Railway Sports Complex Secunderabad.
The trophy won by the JKP Brass Band in the competition was presented to Band Master SI Mushtaq Ahmad during a ceremony held at Armed Police Headquarters. Dushyant Sharma, SSP Staff Officer APHQ J&K and Mushtaq Ahmad Deputy SP (Pers) APHQ also joined the ADGP in presenting trophy to the Band Master of JKP Brass Band.
During the ceremony, the ADGP informed the teams that DGP Dilbag Singh has expressed his happiness for the remarkable achievement of JKP Brass Band in the National level event and has wished more success to the teams in future.
JKP Brass Band team comprising 36 police personnel, Pipe Band team comprising 20 police personnel and seven Buglers who participated in afore said band competition were present in the ceremony. JKP Pipe Band team headed by HC Abdul Ahad of AROJ secured 6th position whereas Buglers secured 5th position in the competition.
It is pertinent to mention here that CRPF secured 1st Position in the Brass Band and 2nd position in Pipe Band. The first position in Pipe Band was secured by Maharashtra Police whereas 3rd position was secured by Odisha Police. Among Buglers team, CRPF stood 1st, Rajasthan 2nd and Assam Police secured 3rd position in the competition.
21 Brass Band teams, 16 Pipe Band teams and 21 teams of Buglers from different State Police and Central Paramilitary Forces participated in the National event.
