JAMMU, Jan 28: Satwari and Gharota police arrested two persons and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Satwari Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02W-1840.
During checking, police team recovered 144 quarters of illicit liquor concealed in 4 cartons and arrested one person, who has been identified as Parvinder Singh, son of Ajeb Singh of Ward Number 3 Simbal Camp District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 20/2020 has been registered at Satwari Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Gharota Police Station during checking intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 20 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rajinder Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of Kangar Morh Bhalwal.
A case under FIR Number 8/2020 has been registered at Gharota Police Station and investigation started.
