JAMMU, Mar 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association held its meeting at village Taryal today in which a large number of members from Batwal community participated.
During the meeting Akhnoor tehsil unit of the Association was constituted with Capt (retd) Kamal Dass Kaith and Naib Subedar (retd) Mast Ram Kith as its president and vice president respectively. Tarseem Lal was elected general secretary, Parveen Kumar as joint secretary, Subash Chander as organizing secretary and Rashpal Chand as treasurer. Tirath Ram, Parma Nand , Paras Ram, Gopal Dass, Milkhi Ram, Girdhari Lal, Sat Pal, Chajju Ram, Sunil Kumar, and Des Raj were nominated as executive members.
Association general secretary, R L Kaith emphasizes the community members to forge unity and fight against all polluted phenomena with respect to the prevalent social evils.
