JAMMU, Jan 9: The Government today constituted a high-level Committee headed by Advisor KK Sharma to assess impact of abolition of Toll Post Lakhanpur and other interstate Toll Posts including those at Railway Stations and Airports, on the local industry.
While Sharma will be the Chairman of the Committee, the Financial Commissioner, Finance Department, Commissioner/ Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department and Excise Commissioner J&K will be the Members.
The Committee can co-opt any member, an official order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) said.
Terms of reference of the Committee included interaction with stakeholders and suggesting measures to improve competitiveness of local industry.
