JAMMU, Jan 9: Congress has asked two of its leaders from Kashmir to explain their position for being part of group of leaders who called on some visiting foreign dignitaries at Srinagar today.
Taking note of the reports of participation of its two leaders (Hilal Shah, Chairman MC Anantnag and Ex-MLA Shoaib Lone) in a group of political leaders who called on the foreign delegation, Jammu and Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has issued show cause notice to these leaders and asked them to explain their position in this regard.
They had neither informed the party nor sought any permission as the Congress party had no invitation from any quarter, a party spokesman said.
