JAMMU, Mar 19: Speaker Mubarak Gul today announced in the Legislative Assembly that he has called the meeting of Business Advisory Committee (BAC) tomorrow.
The BAC among other issues was scheduled to take up the issue of continued absence of main opposition party, the PDP from the Assembly since last Wednesday after the statement of Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde refusing to handover mortal remains of Afzal Guru to his family.
Mr Gul made the announcement of the BAC meeting during uproar in the Assembly on Guru issue during Question Hour.
The Speaker would preside over the BAC meeting, which has members from different political parties besides some Independent MLAs.
The BAC would take a decision on how to approach the PDP to come back to the House.
CPM MLA MY Tarigami and other members of the Assembly had repeatedly been raising the issue of approaching the PDP to return to the House.
