Bovine smuggling bid foiled

UDHAMPUR, Mar 19: District Police today foiled an attempt of smuggling of bovine animals to Kashmir Valley and also arrested two smugglers.
According to reports, acting on a specific information, a Police party from Police Station Rehmbal  laid a special naka at  Flatta National Highway and intercepted a  Mahindra Vehicle with number 3844/JK02AQ, in which three bovine animals were being smuggled to Kashmir Valley. Police arrested the smugglers and also rescued the bovines.
Identity of the arrested smugglers was established as Mohd Farooq son of Rehmat Ali of Biaspur in R.S Pura Jammu (driver of the vehicle) and Mirza son of Bulla of Kheri Bishnah. A case in this connection was also registered at Rehmbal Police Station.
