JAMMU, Aug 1: Peoples Welfare Society (PWS) Ganderbal has launched a crusade against the drug menace in the State which is eating up the vitals of the society.
The Society led by Mir Ghulam Rasool visited various areas of the district and held interactive sessions with the youth as well as their parents apprising them of the ill effects of the drug menace which is rapidly spreading in the State.
Mir said that those countries who smuggle drugs in the State are the worst enemies of its people as it will destroy the future of State and its youth totally.
Later Mir along with the other representatives of the Society held separate meetings with DC Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan, SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmed Poswal and Deputy CEO Ganderbal and assured them all help in their crusade against the eradication of drug menace in the society.
He stressed on holding of seminars in schools and colleges against the ill effects of drug menace so that youth will themselves remain away from it. He said PWS will also launch a State wide campaign and it is in touch with the like minded organizations in other districts of Valley and Jammu region also.
The PWA also demanded degree college for Wakoora and Ranbir Bagh Bye Pass Ganderbal.
