JAMMU, Aug 1: R K Kalsotra, State president, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisation, has made an appeal to Justice Gita Mittal, Chief Justice, State High Court, to deliver justice to Scheduled Caste candidates of the State who have applied for Class IV (Orderly) post vide advertisement (Adv. Notification No. 01 of 2019, dated 10.01.2019) for recruitment in subordinate courts of all three divisions of the State.
In his letter to Justice Mittal through mail Kalsotra said in the notification, post of Class IV for Scheduled Caste category was also mentioned. After that district wise list of candidates for interview/viva was published in which Scheduled Caste candidates were also called.
On the date of interview (Notified by the High Court in all three divisions of J&K), candidates were interviewed except those belonging to Scheduled Caste category because the Committee members of various districts (Baramulla, Budgam, Kargil and others) refused to take interviews of SC candidates, who were mentioned in the interview list without any reason.
Kalsotra said this was an unfortunate and an unjust move with SC candidates. Seeking intervention of Chief Justice of the State in the matter, Kalsotra demanded that these candidates be given justice.
