REASI, June 21: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib today visited Sarh panchayat of Mahore block and met with the family of a leopard attack victim.
She also held a meeting with the villagers regarding similar events occurred in the past and discussed strategy to prevent such mishaps in future.
The DC assured a concrete plan of action in coordination with the Wildlife Department and Police Department to deal with such issues.
Pertinently, Ruksana Bano aged 10 was killed yesterday in an attack by a leopard.
DC handed over twenty thousand rupees from Red Cross Fund to the victim’s family.
