JAMMU, June 17: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee has expressed deep shock over the martyrdom of an Army Officer and serious injuries to two other soldiers in an encounter in Anantnag District today.
Expressing deep shock over the loss of precious life of an Army Major in an ongoing encounter in Badoora area of Achhabal in Anantnag district today , PCC Chief GA Mir and Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma saluted brave officer who sacrificed his life for the nation. They expressed deep sympathies with the family of martyr and conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the party. They prayed for early recovery of the injured.
Meanwhile rich tributes were paid to Police Inspector Arshad Ahmed Khan who succumbed to injuries in last weak terrorists attack in Anantnag in which 5 CRPF jawans were martyred. PCC chief on behalf of the rank and file of the party has prayed for peace to the departed souls and expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, PCC has strongly condemned the shameful and inhuman act of Delhi Police with a Sikh boy, the video of which went viral. PCC spokesman strongly condemned this barbaric act of men in uniform which is not acceptable in any civilized society. He expressed solidarity with the agitating Sikh community and described the incident as an act of police brutality against human dignity which deserve strong condemnation and appropriate action.
