JAMMU, June 15: Up in arms against `un-necessary’ delay in their regularization, the un-regularized ReT Teachers today held a protest demonstration.
The protesting ReTs assembled near Press Club Jammu and raised slogans against the School Education Department authorities for deliberately delaying their regularization. They threatened to lock the schools if the process for their regularization is not initiated before June 25.
“We will lock the schools and take to streets if the regularization process is not initiated by June 25 and the Government will be responsible for the agitation,” announced leaders of the protesting ReTs, who addressed the protest demonstration.
They said that 60000, out of 65000 ReTs in the State have been regularized as per Government order number 396, dated 24-04-2000. “There are clear cut rules for regularization but the Government has halted the process since June 2017 for no reasons with the result that we are suffering despite completion of 5-6 years of service,” they added.
Those who addressed the protest demonstration, included Mohd Ashraf, Raman Sharma, Shakil Ahmed, Ajay Sharma, Rajnish Khajuria, Jahangir Ahmed, Pritam Singh, Lauit Ali, Shinpul Singh and others.
