SAMBA, June 12: The six people including two children besides driver and conductor of a truck were injured in two separate road accidents in Samba today.
Four persons were injured including a couple and their two children when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by unknown vehicle near Nandani Hill Morh near here, today.
The injured have been identified as Rakesh Kumar, 41 son of Sansaru Ram resident of Ward No 10 Hiranagar and his wife namely Anita Devi, 35 & his two son’s Raguab age11 and Vipan 4 years.
According to police, the mishap took place at Jammu Pathankot National Highway near Nandani Hill Morh Samba, when a motorcycle bearing registration No PB35J- 8157 on way of Kathua from Jammu after reaching near Nandani Hills Morh Samba was suddenly hit by unknown vehicle, as a result the four persons of the family including two children who were traveling on motorcycle got critically injured. They were brought to District Hospital Samba for treatment.
The Samba police has taken cognizance in the matter and started investigation.
In another accident a driver and a conductor of a truck were injured after their truck rolled down on the road at Mansar Morh near Samba today. The accident took place in the morning when the truck bearing Registration Number JK03B-3863 rolled down on the road.
The driver of the truck has been identified as Mohammed Shafi, son of Mohammed Abdullah of Shopian and his conductor was identified as Zakir Hussain, son of Mohammed Akbar also of Shopian. They were brought to DH Samba for treatment by police. The Samba police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
