KATRA, June 4: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University – Technology Business Incubation Centre (SMVDU-TBIC) has joined hands with Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Jammu, to identify potential entrepreneurs among the students of YCET, nurturing and supporting innovations and developing technology-based ideas into independent self-sustainable business.
Both the entities will be working together very closely in order to drive entrepreneurship culture among the students in State of J&K by encouraging, motivating and hand-holding them.
On the occasion of MoU signing, Dr Swarkar Sharma, CEO SMVDU-TBIC said, “This is a welcome partnership between two esteemed organizations, which share the similar culture of contributing to society that will largely be beneficial for the students in J&K.
Sandeep Pandita, Head – Strategic Planning & Operations (JGEI) said, “We at YCET are extremely jubilant to join hands with SMVDU-TBIC and have aligned our Institutional Structure, processes and practices to bring about an extra-ordinary change in the current scenario of entrepreneurial sector in J&K for which the Institute has already constituted an exclusive Institution Innovation Council (IIC). This MoU will help us to produce magnificent employment opportunities in J&K and other parts of the Country as well”.
SMVDU TBIC is the first ever Technology Business Incubator in the State of J&K and has been identified as one of the sixty eight Incubators to recommend startups under Startup India Initiative by Government of India.
