SAMBA, May 28: Deputy Commissioner Samba Sushma Chauhan today reviewed the arrangements for annual Baba Sidh Goria and Baba Chamiyal Melas at Baba Sidh Goria Swankha.
The DC was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Arvind Kotwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vikas Gupta, Additional SP Faisal Qureshi besides other officers of district administration and representatives of religious organisations.
The Deputy Commissioner listened to the various issues and requirements for smooth conduct of annual Mela at both the revered shrines which were put forth by representatives of civil society and religious organisations.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Xen R&B, Xen PHE, Xen PDD to put in efforts for development and maintenance of approach roads, make provision of uninterrupted water supply and power supply.
The Deputy Commissioner exhorted the concerned officers for maintenance of proper sanitation, availability of fire and emergency services, health ambulances and management of traffic. A committee was constituted for checking the quality of eatables sold during the week long fair.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Vijay Kumar, Chief Medical Officer Rajinder Samyal, X-Ens of PDD, PHE and R&B were also present.
