Shri Hudh Mata Trisandhiya Yatra Committee discusses arrangements

JAMMU, May 13: A meeting of Shri Hudh Mata Trisandhiya Yatra Management Sub Committee, Jammu was held here to discuss the arrangements of Shri Hudh Mata yatra beginning from July 3 from Dharalan Nagri, Kathua to village Anant nallah in Tehsil Dachan of district Kishtwar.
The yatra, which will culminate on July 10. The meeting was chaired by Mangat Ram Parihar, advisor , Sub Committee, Jammu. The meeting demanded adequate facilities for pilgrims so that they may not face any inconvenience in performing the yatra.
The meeting said that due to the heavy snowfall in this year three Sarais at Kaikooth an night haltage station of the yatra at the Bhawan have been totally damaged and became useless. Besides, heavy damage has been caused to other movable and immovable property of the Committee such as blankets, tents etc.
The appealed the State Government to grant ex-gratia relief for the reconstruction and renovation of these sarais and purchase of blankets, tents, timber, G I Sheet etc.
Tendering process and fulfilling all other formalities for providing helicopter service to the pilgrims from Kishtwar to shrines of Hudh Mata and Trisandhiya Mata and from approved helipad of Sounder Dachan to shrines of Hudh Mata/ Trisandhiya Mata be started forthwith and completed before the start of the yatra.
The Subcommittee also demanded inclusion of Hudh Mata Trisandhiya Mata Shrines in the religious tourist circle of J&K State to give publicity the yatra and the shrines and also constructing tourist sarias at different places for haltage of the yatra.
