JAMMU, May 11: Manvadhikar National Party (MNP) State Unit chief, Sanjay Dhar who is also candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency & its State general secretary (Org), Vinod Pandita today in a joint statement said that due to the tedious M Form system Kashmiri Pandits could not exercise their votes in exile in ongoing Parliament elections and over all voting percentage was negligible which put a big question mark on the working of concerned Department and Relief Organization.
They said many people during voting days, complained that despite filling of M forms at their respective zones, their names did not figure in final list due to negligence of concerned officials at their respective Zones thus depriving the displaced people of their voting rights.
Both leaders appealed Election Commission of India to remove M- form system before State Assembly election and adopt simple and prompt mechanism for Kashmiri Pandit voting system in exile so that the displaced community takes part fully in the electoral process with out any hitch.
They also appealed the Relief Commissioner Migrants Jammu to streamline the work culture in the organisation with accountability and ensure prompt disposal of migrant cases of different natures pending in different zones or offices forthwith.
