Two chemist shops sealed

JAMMU, May 3: Drug and Food Control Organization along with police personnel sealed two chemist shops.
As per police sources, two chemist shops were sealed in village Kalyana, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Arnia.
A case under FIR Number 08/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Arnia against Ramesh Kumar, son of Atma Ram, who was running a medical store on the title M/s Ramesh Medical Hall. Another case under FIR Number 58/18 under section 48-A and F Excise Act was registered at Police Station Arnia against Kewal Krishan, son of Mohan Lal of Kalyana.
In both the cases, it was established that both the persons are running the business of illegal drugs selling.
A letter was written to Assistant Drug Controller Rural Jammu Rekha, for suspension/cancellation of drug licence from the office of SDPO RS Pura.
Today, Assistant Drug Controller along with SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prasher and SHO Arnia visited the spot, inspected the shops and sealed them till further orders.
