BLSKS performs musical programme ‘Maa Vaishno’

JAMMU, Apr 6: To celebrate nine days of Chaitra Navtrata Festival-2019, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) performed musical programme ‘Maa Vaishno’ in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production and National College of Computer Education.
A handout stated that there will be different programmes during these nine days of Navratra Festival which includes devotional song programmes, one act play, Kanya Pujan etc.
The function was inaugurated after lighting the traditional lamp by the chief guest, Davinder Chadha, Head Pujari, Durga Bhawan Jammu and V.K Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity while K.K Joshi, Vice Chairman BLSKS, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director Health Department, J.K Raina, Freelancer Producer-Director and Dr. Anju Dogra from Health Department were also present.
The programme commenced with welcome song ‘Jai Jai Sheranwali’ etc.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest said that Navratras in India is a big religious festivity for nine propitious days.
He said that celebration goes on for these days with different rituals and customs in distinct parts.
