SUNDERBANI, Apr 2: While addressing the road shows and public meetings at Sunderbani and Nowshera areas, Rajiv Chuni, leader of PoK Displaced Persons lambasted all the mainstream political parties, including BJP and Congress for their Kashmir centric approach.
He alleged that BJP as well as Congress have their mass base and support in Jammu but both the parties always toed the Kashmir centric line after coming to power.
He said that these two parties are biggest exploiters of Jammu, which never remained on their agenda despite the fact that both the parties had been getting vote and support from this region.
“Congress befooled Jammu on the name of secularism while BJP exploited Jammu sentiments on the name of Hindus. BJP’s slogan of `Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ remained a slogan only. BJP had `Sabka Saath’ in Jammu, but it did `Vikas’ of only Kashmiris,” Chuni alleged.
Launching a scathing attack on candidates of both BJP and Congress, Rajiv Chuni said that Jugal Kishore has a tainted Police record while Raman Bhalla as then Minister for Revenue, had intentionally delayed the Cabinet proposal on  Rehabilitation Package for the PoK Displaced Persons, which was ultimately okayed by his successor Aijaz Khan in 2014.
Rajiv Chuni exhorted the PoK Displaced Persons to reject these mainstream political parties, which have always ditched the community and did nothing for their permanent rehabilitation.
Chuni, who is contesting as independent candidate in the Lok Sabha polls from Jammu -Poonch Parliamentary seat, entered Sunderbani and Nowshera in Rajouri where he addressed a series of public meetings and road shows.
He along with his supporters, visited Sunderbani, Rah Siot, Banpuri, Bajabain, Seri Bori Pattan, Nowshera and other areas of Rajouri where he was accorded rousing welcome by the PoK Displaced community, settled there.
Members of the Displaced families extended their full support to Chuni, who, they said, has done a lot for the Community.
They opined that he has been serving the Displaced Community for the last three decades while on the other hand, other candidates have only assurances and hollow promises.
