JAMMU, Mar 24: General Category Peoples Forum (GCPF) has expressed concern over the way general category people are being marginalized and ignored socially, economically and politically by the State and Central Governments.
In a meeting, here today, Raj Kumar Banathia, Forum Chairman said all political parties make tall claims and promises at the time of elections to the general category people to ensure ‘Sab Ka Vikas’ but after winning elections they forget all such promises.
He accused political leadership of the country of playing with the emotions of the people by raking up the issue of caste based reservations before elections for their political gains at the cost of fundamental principles of equality, justice, liberty and dignity.
Forum President, Yash Paul Sanson said that caste-based reservations and special concessions and privileges are unlawful acts against the value of social fabric of the nation.
Som Nath Sharma, General Secretary of the Forum said they will extend support to the party which would ensure correction of the injustice pertaining to the marginalization and discrimination with the people through caste based reservation.
