JAMMU, Mar 12: Two persons including a minor girl allegedly ended their lives by hanging themselves at separate places in city outskirts.
According to a police official, the dead body of a 14-year-old girl was found hanging from a tree in Nanak area of city outskirts, late last night. He said the deceased girl was identified as Jyoti Kumari daughter of Mohant Dass, resident of Bihar (at present living in a rented accommodation in Ward No 14, Nanak Nagar, Jammu).
The official said the girl allegedly hanged self with a tree near her residence as she was fed up with repeated quarrels between her father and mother. He said today after completion of all medico-legal formalities the body of the girl was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while Gandhi Nagar police had initiated inquest proceedings in this connection.
Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man namely Sanjeev Gorkha son of Kuldeep Raj, resident of Jinder Melu, was today found hanging at his residence. After postmortem, the body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceeding in this connection was initiated at police station RS Pura.
