Srinagar, Feb 13: An infant and a man died at district hospitals of Bandipora and Anantnag today triggering protests by her families and relatives who alleged negligence by doctors.

The family members alleged that Umaiya Muzaffar, three months old daughter of Muzaffar Ahmad Najar, resident of Gundpora Rampora died after being administered some vaccine in absence of doctors at DH Bandipora.
The family of the deceased said that they had come to the hospital to get routine vaccination done for child but she died after vaccination.
Police have registered a case (under FIR No 13/2019 under Section 304 RPC). Protests were held inside the hospital premises by family members and locals, demanding strict action against the erring officials.
Protests broke out at District Hospital Anantnag in South Kashmir today after a man died and family alleged medical negligence.
The attendants during a protest hurled fire-pots at hospital employees after the death a patient Muhammad Akram.
Akram, a resident of Kund Qazigun was brought to the hospital for treatment on Tuesday night. His family members accused doctors of negligence and said that the patient died due to the absence of the doctors in the hospital.
Medical Superintendent District Hospital Anantnag, Dr Zahoor Ahmed Gilkar said the condition of the patient was very critical when admitted in the hospital. “We tried best to save him. The allegations of family members that no doctor took care of him are sham,” he added.
